Kandi’s love of storytelling can be traced back to her fourth grade year, when a history lesson on Native Americans became too unimaginative for her liking.  She took it upon herself to liven things up by creating a story that was based on half-truths about a self-named Indian Princess. Kandice is in fact of Native American heritage (her great-grandmother was a full-blooded Cherokee) and in her own mind a princess, so you can see where her inspiration came from.  Her story was a huge hit with friends, and an author was born.

Kandice was born and raised in rural Arkansas, where she currently lives with her husband and three children. Though, if you ask her she’ll confirm that her soul is lost somewhere on the west coast waiting for the day that her body can rejoin it.

Let me start off by saying that I love Kandice Michelle Young, she knows how to write a great story. This is book one in a hot new series involving musicians! It’s a sexy story that just pulls you right in. I don’t like to give away too much of the storyline in any of my reviews so here is what I will say.
This is the story of Jessie and Sophie, both characters who have suffered some serious heartache in their lifetime. Jessie and Sophie meet sort of by chance or even fate if you want to look at it that way. Both are scared of their draw to one another, scared of putting their hearts on the line. I was eager for them to realize that love is a risk worth taking. I could feel the emotions coming off of the pages, I felt their pain, their strentgth, fear, excitement, all of their highs and lows. Is love worth the risk? I think it is and I cannot wait to see where their journey goes
