Tessa definitely has a way with words; I feel like with each of her books the stories only get better and better. I was pulled in hook, line and sinker with book one of this series and Escalation did not let me down. At the end of book one we were left with a huge cliffhanger, we were left wondering exactly who Rafe Matthews was and this book did not fail to deliver on explaining the mystery surrounding him. This series is full of so much mystery and suspense; it will certainly leave you one the edge of your seat as you greedily devour the pages. I won’t explain exactly who Rafe is nor will I explain or summarize much of the storyline because doing so would ruin the mystery and allure of this type of book. What I will say is that this is excellently written and clever, it is certainly not your run of the mill cookie cutter romance. Escalation will command your full attention until you’ve read the very last page. My reaction to the ending as well as the entire book was just one huge OMG, I cannot believe that just happened! I can honestly say that I cannot wait for book 3; I have to know how this story will turn out.
