Run to You

Happy Release Day!
This book is a must read! Better than 50 Shades of Grey...
Run to You by Kandice Michelle Young

Synopsis/Blurb:

I moved to New York for a fresh start.  I did not move here to fall for a man like Sebastian.
Sebastian Black came into my life like a storm in the peak of the night…dark, raging, all-consuming, and guaranteed to leave destruction in his wake. From the moment our eyes met, he had a hold on me. I wanted, craved, and needed him like nothing I had ever desired before.
The problem was he needed total submission. From the moment he handed me the contract, I knew what he was proposing would destroy me. What I had not planned was his ability to make me crave destruction. I would lose myself in him. Sebastian knew how to take me over the edge, and before I even knew it, I wanted to go free-falling.
It was evident that my past had the ability to destroy us. What I had not calculated was the power of his to do the same. My dark, brooding, impeccably sexual, alpha-male had his own crosses to bear. I was not sure I was strong enough to handle them, or the woman who helped chain him there.

Author Bio:
Kandice is a serial lover of all things pink, self-proclaimed chocoholic, homeschooling mother, and wannabe yogi.
Her debut erotica novel, Run to You, the first in the series Run, is to be released on February 10, 2015.
Kandi’s love of storytelling can be traced back to her fourth grade year, when a history lesson on Native Americans became too unimaginative for her liking. She took it upon herself to liven things up by creating a story that was based on half-truths about a self-named Indian Princess. Kandice is in fact of Native American heritage (her great-grandmother was a full-blooded Cherokee) and in her own mind a princess, so you can see where her inspiration came from. Her story was a huge hit with friends, and an author was born.
Kandice was born and raised in rural Arkansas, where she currently lives with her husband and three children. Though, if you ask her she’ll confirm that her soul is lost somewhere on the west coast waiting for the day that her body can rejoin it.

Run to You (Run #1)Run to You by Kandice Michelle Young
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Run to You is a solid 4 out of five star read. I was genuinely surprised that I liked this book. In the beginning I felt like I was reading 50 shades of grey especially with the selection of characters names, however I was able to get past that as the characters became more developed. Unlike 50 shades of grey this book has more sophisticated writing and a lot less repetition, yes it is far better than 50 shades of grey!! That being said I did find myself skipping over the sex scenes towards the end because of the high frequency, not that there is anything wrong with well written hot sex. I enjoyed the secondary characters in this book and appreciated that her best friend was a male, however, I would have thought this would have been a bigger issue for Mr. Black. I liked the drama between Dani and Alana because it added to the suspense of the novel and made me want to learn what dark secret was holding Sebastian to his past. I loved and hated the cliff hanger ending, I was pissed it ended at what felt like the climax of the story, because I want to read part two now!! I would defiantly purchase the second book, but if the series became a trilogy like 50 shades I don’t know if I would continue to read it unless all the books were released in a close time frame because I lose my connection to the characters when I have to wait too long for another book to release. For individuals who get caught up in grammar errors this book was edited better than most books I’ve read by other new authors and I was only distracted by grammatical errors twice.

It’s a well done, enjoyable read that left me wanting more!
